About Fieldstone Ceramics
Fieldstone Ceramics is a two-wheel studio with a kiln that fires every three weeks. Everything here is thrown by hand from a stoneware blend we mix ourselves, glazed in the muted greens and greys of the paddocks around the studio, and fired hot enough that a mug survives the dishwasher, the microwave and being knocked off the drying rack. We've tested that last one by accident, repeatedly. No two pieces match exactly. The ridges under your fingers and the way the glaze pools at a rim are the point, not a flaw. If you want identical dinnerware, buy porcelain. If you want the cup your hand looks for first every morning, you're in the right place.
